NAIA T3-Newport City link bridge construction on track

Good news for commuters to and from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 as the 220-meter pedestrian link bridge known as Runway Manila slated to be completed during the first half of 2017 is almost done.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Transportation (DOTr) visited on Thursday the construction site of the P1.9B pedestrian bridge directly connecting Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 (T3) with Newport City.

Quezon Bridge Strengthening Work completed

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar said that extensive works to strengthen the super structure of Quezon Bridge connecting Manila’s districts of Quiapo and Ermita across Pasig River have been completed.

“Following months of construction, we have improved the structural integrity of Quezon Bridge by replacing damaged structural components of the bridge built in 1939 along the Quezon Boulevard Extension,” he said.

NEDA, DPWH confer with CSOs

A consultation conference among stakeholders and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) was supervised by the Regional Development Council (RDC) of Western Visayas, headed by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Region 6 at the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office Conference Room.

With the construction of the 191.4 linear-meter river bank protection along Barangay Maniki, residents have breathed a sigh of relief knowing that they are now well-protected by the newly constructed structure.

ASEAN accredits DPWH-XI civil engineers

There are now more DPWH - XI Civil Engineers accredited with ASEAN FEDERATION OF ENGI- NEERING ORGANIZATIONS (AFEO), ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations of which there are 10-member nations: Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.

The accreditation of the latest batch was bestowed during the conferment at Puerto Princesa, Palawan during the 34th Year Conference of the Organization on November 21, 2016.

The local government of Calinan along with the DPWH Davao City II District Engineering Office takes pride in announcing the inauguration of one of its high-impact projects for the year 2016, which took place on the 10th of December 2016.

This modern gymnasium is the first of its kind in the 3rd Congressional District of Davao City. The gymnasium houses a multi-sport game court, comfortable bleachers, and hygienic comfort rooms. Moreover, with its huge area, it can accommodate more than a thousand guests, making it a very ideal venue for big gatherings.
