Villar: All National Roads and Bridges affected by Typhoon Nina now cleared

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar announced that as of 6 PM today, all national roads and bridges affected by Typhoon Nina are now cleared.

“At the first advisory of PAGASA that Typhoon Nina has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Regional and District Engineering Offices already activated the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Team or the Incident Command System (ICS),” Villar said.

Villar: Circulo Del Mundo Bypass Now Open

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark. Villar announced the opening of Circulo Del Mundo Bypass road on the first minute of December 30.

“Circulo Del Mundo Bypass road is a 125 lineal meter bypass road which will further reduce traffic congestion around the vicinity of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. It is now open to the public,” Villar said.

“This is a dedicated lane for motorists coming from Sales Avenue to NAIA Terminal 3,” he said.

Villar: Resettlement Sites of Yolanda Victims Now with Water

In line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to provide victims of Typhoon Yolanda a conducive and permanent resettlement area, Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said that water tanks and jetmatic pumps have been installed in all resettlement sites of Yolanda victims.

“As promised, all resettlement sites are now provided with water. The Tacloban North Resettlement Site is now equipped with 67 units of 5 cubic meter and 70 units of 2 cubic meter stainless water tanks,” Villar said.
