Local Road in Calauag Completed

A 564 lineal meter portion of the Kapaluhan-Tibansak-Vinas-Tiniguiban-Villa San Isidro Road in Calauag, Quezon included in the DPWH Local Infrastructure Program was completed on December 2, 2014.

This P5 million worth project was implemented by Quezon IV District Engineering Office under contract with Philworks Construction and Supply.

OIC-District Engineer Rody A. Angulo said that at least ten (10) barangays will benefit from this road improvement project. The road will facilitate better trading and commerce to pave way for grant of local economy.

DPWH Completes More Tourism Roads in Southern Tagalog Region

The Department of Public Works and Highways supports the government tourism program with the construction and improvement of roads to attractive destinations in Southern Tagalog Region.

In his report to Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, DPWH Region IV-A Director Samson L. Hebra said that the upgrading of Taal Lake Circumferential Road in Agoncillo, Batangas and several other projects under the Convergence Program of the DPWH with the Department of Tourism (DOT) were completed.

JR Borja Bridge Formally Opens

The 6th bridge in Cagayan de Oro linking the busy streets of Max Suniel and JR Borja, Burgos was formally opened to vehicular traffic on February 6, 2015.

Inaugural ceremony for the JR Borja Bridge and Approaches started with the unveiling of the project marker followed by the ribbon cutting and ceremonial drive thru. The bridge was also blessed by Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma and Rev. Fr. Perseus P. Cabunoc.

DPWH Finance Director

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH() Secretary Rogelio L. Singson administers the oath of office of Ms. Marichu A. Palafox as Director of the DPWH Financial Management Service. The Financial Management Service provides services relating to financial systems and procedures, budget, cash, accounting and financial housekeeping of the Department. Joining Ms. Palafox in the ceremony are her husband Constante and daughters Nicole, Jessica and Francesca.

DPWH Limits Passing of Vehicles at Subec Detour Bridge in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Ilocos Norte 1st District Engineering Office advised motorists and the travelling public of the on-going construction/widening of Subec Bridge along Manila North Road in Barangay Subec, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

A detour bridge was constructed with load of passing trucks/vehicles strictly limited to 15 tons.
