96-Bed Isolation Facility In Quezon City Completed

Recognizing the need to augment healthcare infrastructure in the National Capital Region, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a 96-bed capacity quarantine/isolation healthcare facility in Quezon City University in just 18 days.

“These mobile health facilities in Quezon City University were constructed to enable the immediate isolation of mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 cases and mitigate its spread to nearby areas”, said Secretary Mark A. Villar.

DPWH Completes P25-M River Wall Project In Zamboanga Del Norte

To spare lives and properties on the threats of major flooding, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a revetment wall along Talinga River Basin in Leon B. Postigo town, Zamboanga Del Norte.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the new river wall which was completed one (1) month ahead of schedule now protect residents of the flood-prone Barangay Talinga.

DPWH completes bridge widening, building projects in Zamboanga

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two (2) infrastructure projects in Zamboanga City and in Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte.

According to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, the two-lane Sinubong Bridge along Zamboanga City - Labuan - Limpapa Road has now been widened into four (4) lanes to accommodate the increasing number of motorists traversing western side of the city.

The newly widened 30.84-meter bridge project amounting to P27.5-million is now being used by residents of Barangays Sinubong, Patalon, Labuan, and Limpapa.

3 quarantine facilities completed in Zamboanga Peninsula

Public Works and Highways Mark A. Villar announced that three (3) new quarantine facilities that can accommodate a total of 124 patients have been completed in Zamboanga and Basilan as part of the Department’s continuous effort to expand the healthcare infrastructure vs COVID-19 in the country.

Based on a report from DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia, Secretary Villar said that the constructed isolation facilities have individual rooms, separate entrance and exit for patient and staff, and comfort rooms.
