Widened Angat Bridge along Arterial Bypass Road in Bulacan Now Open

Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar announced the opening of an expanded 2.22-kilometer section of Arterial Plaridel Bypass Road including one (1) of Luzon’s longest bridge across Angat River in Bustos, Bulacan.

Secretary Villar said that the additional two (2) new lanes will enhance transport capacity of the bypass road experiencing traffic growth with increasing number of motorists going eastern part of Bulacan and Nueva Ecija.

DPWH to Undertake Weekend Repair Works on EDSA, C5

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume its reblocking and repair works on Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C5).

Repair works on section of two (2) major thoroughfares in Metro Manila start 11 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021.

DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric A. Ayapana reported that the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has given clearance to conduct road maintenance activities along EDSA, Caloocan City from K0010+(-942)-K0010+666.

DPWH Improves Road Leading to Economic Zones in Misamis Oriental

Industrial sites in the Municipality of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental will now be more accessible with the improvement of road by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Villar Activates Disaster Response Teams for Taal Volcano Operation

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said that a total of 826 personnel with 107 equipment are now prepositioned around Taal Volcano in case another explosive eruption happens.

Citing a report from the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance, Secretary Villar said that the Quick Response Teams (QRTs) of DPWH Regional Office IV-A and all its 16 District Engineering Offices are ready to be deployed to assist in the event of evacuation, and clearing operation of national roads.

CDO - Mountain Diversion Road, Halfway done

An hour of travel will soon be cut short into half once the ongoing Cagayan de Oro (CDO) – Laguindingan – Mountain Diversion Road is completed by the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH).

According to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, the project is envisioned to function as a new link to Laguindingan Airport, of which the present access road is experiencing traffic congestion.

“The CDO – Mountain Diversion Road is currently at 52.65 percent completion rate. The Department aims to finish the works by December next year,” said Secretary Villar.
