Toran River Control Project Enhances Flood Protection in Aparri, Cagayan
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the construction of the Toran River Control Project, which aims to protect lives and properties from frequent flooding caused by high tides of Cagayan River in Aparri, Cagayan.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office II Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel, said that the newly completed flood control project stretches over 250 linear meters with 2-berm concrete revetment and steel sheet piles.
