Biggest Sports Complex in Panay Island Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) begins construction works of Panay Island’s largest sports complex at Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) in the municipality of Sara, Iloilo province.

According to DPWH Region VI Director Sanny Boy Oropel, construction is now ongoing on a 1,400-square meter multi-purpose building component of the facility.

Built within a 3,064-square meter lot area, the facility will serve as a hub for athletic training and competitions and aims to elevate sports and athletics in Western Visayas.

Paved Bypass Road Links Communities in Zamboanga City

A bypass road project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now facilitates better connectivity between local communities in Zamboanga City.

DPWH Region IX Director Cayamombao D. Dia identified the project as the concrete paving of the 569.7-meter NRJ Boalan-Tugbungan Diversion Road.

The 4-lane concrete road now better connects the Barangays of Boalan and Tugbungan with reduced travel time of approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

DPWH Region IX Director Cayamombao D. Dia identified the project as the concrete paving of the 569.7-meter NRJ Boalan-Tugbungan Diversion Road.

The 4-lane concrete road now better connects the Barangays of Boalan and Tugbungan with reduced travel time of approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Riverbank Protection Structures Completed in Bula, CamSur

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed another segment of bank protection project to aid a riverside community in the municipality of Bula, Camarines Sur.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 5 Director Virgilio C. Eduarte said that a P93.31-million project was recently implemented along a portion of Pawili River in the low-lying barangay of Salvacion.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed its off-carriageway improvement project aimed to address road safety concerns along a portion of Daang Maharlika in Barangay Banlag, Monkayo, Davao de Oro.

DPWH Regional Office 11 Director Juby B. Cordon, in a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said the DPWH Davao de Oro 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) carried out the project which involved the installation of solar-powered street lights with double arm steel post at the center island of stretch of the 6.03-kilometer stretch of the highway.
