Upgraded Roads Improve Access Between Negros Island Provinces

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed upgrading works along two (2) major roads in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental that will facilitate better connectivity between the provinces of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental.

DPWH Region 6 Director Sanny Boy Oropel reported the completion of a concreting project along a 1.7-kilometer, 2-lane section of Kabankalan-Bayawan Boundary Road in Barangay Bantayan.

Bonoan, said that under its Roads Leveraging Linkages for Industry and Trade (ROLL-IT) Program with the Department of Trade and Industry, a 1-kilometer dirt road was converted into a 2-lane concrete road in Barangay Madduang.
