DPWH paves 1.32-km Access Road to Manlud Falls in Ajuy Town, Iloilo

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in convergence with the Department of Tourism (DOT) has completed the first phase of road concreting project that will lead tourists to the hidden Manlud Falls in Barangay Sto. Rosario, Ajuy town, Iloilo.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said the paving of the 1.32-kilometer portion or Phase 1 of Sitio Calubihan-Sitio Manlud Road was undertaken by the DPWH Iloilo 3rd District Engineering Office in the amount of P15.45 Million.

Infanta Bypass Road Phase 2 right on track

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the ongoing segment of a bypass road project that will decongest traffic within the town center of Infanta, Quezon has attained 87 percent accomplishment rate.

Citing a report from DPWH Quezon 1st District Engineering Office, Secretary Villar said that the project now under Phase 2 has an ongoing 545-meters road opening and 2-lane concreting over a length of 380 meters.

Road Widening and Drainage Rehab Project along Caloocan’s Old Zapote Road completed

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is done with its road widening and drainage rehabilitation and improvement project along a 1.296-kilometer portion of Old Zapote Road in Barangay 177, Caloocan City.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH National Capital Region Director Ador G. Canlas said that completed project amounting to P18.79 million now addresses traffic congestion and recurrent flooding in the area.

DPWH Builds Pop-Up Hospital at Lung Center to Shore Up Health Care System

Construction of pop-up hospital is on-going at the Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City to increase health care capacity.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar, the chief isolation czar, said that a 16-bed capacity modular hospital is being put up by the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local and National Health Facilities that will support the demand for health care services of the Lung Center.

Secretary Villar added that the Lung Center management will use the on-going mobile hospital for for the treatment of severe COVID-19 patients.

The on-going construction of a P4.8-million barracks and headquarters inside the base of the 12th Military Intelligence Battalion, 12th Infantry by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Banga, Aklan is now 85 percent completed.

According to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, the ongoing 258-square meter building project will serve as a work office and lodging facility for military commanders and their staff.

DPWH provides Access Road to Aklan’s Baybay Beach, Alibagon Bakhawan Park

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed its P9.8-million access road project leading to Baybay Beach and Alibagon Bakhawan Park in Makato, Aklan.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the construction of a newly-paved 550-meter road with the provision of 109.5-meter slope protection and 639-meter metal guardrail was implemented by DPWH Aklan District Engineering Office (DEO).
