Tripartite Agreement signed for Backfilling Site of DPWH Flood Mitigation Project

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has signed a tripartite memorandum of agreement with the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) and Toyo Construction Company, Ltd. for the establishment of an ideal backfilling site for materials taken from the dredging and excavations of the banks and waterway of Lower Marikina River under the DPWH Pasig Marikina River Channel Improvement Project-Phase III.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) led by Secretary Mark A. Villar held a forum with foreign consulting firms on the various infrastructure projects implemented under the Duterte administration’s ‘Build, Build, Build’ program. Undersecretary for Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations and Technical Services Emil K. Sadain provided the 17 foreign consultancy firms an overview of the high impact projects expected to propel economic development and improve lives of the Filipino people.

DPWH holds consultation meeting on Ease of Doing Business Act, Project Repeal

Officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) headed by Undersecretary Ardeliza Medenilla together with representatives of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) met recently to discuss the provisions of the new R.A. 11032 (Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Services Delivery Act of 2018) which amended the RA 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape and the process and key outputs for the government’s Project Repeal.

DPWH completes P6-M slope protection project in Alamada, North Cotabato

Residents of Barangay Kitacubong, Alamada, North Cotabato now have a defense wall against landslides and road closures with the completion of a slope protection project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) along Banisilan-Guiling-Alamada-Libungan Road.

DPWH North Cotabato 2nd District Engineer Eliseo L. Otoc said the project costing P6.5 million covers the rehabilitation and reconstruction of a 934-square meter portion of existing retaining structure in the area with slips, slope collapse, and landslide.
