The reconstructed Malabago Bridge in Calasiao, Pangasinan will be open to vehicular traffic on Monday, September 15, 2014. Total replacement of the old Malabago Bridge connecting Calasiao to San Carlos City was implemented by the DPWH Pangasinan 4th District Engineering Office. Started in July 2013, the project in two (2) phases has a total appropriation of P53.3 Million
“Let the contractor follow our shortened schedule.”
This was the marching order given by Secretary Rogelio L. Singson to the 16 Regional Directors of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in a regular meeting held at the DPWH Head Office.
Singson said that the DPWH implementing units in the Regional and District Offices may also order contractors to shorter project durations whenever possible to ensure timely completion of projects, especially in populated and urban areas.
