New Access Road Connecting Naval, Almeria in Biliran, Almost Complete

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the construction of a new access road that will connect Sitio Magtaran-an, Barangay Talustusan in Naval to Barangay Sampao in the town of Almeria, province of Biliran.

In a report submitted by DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the project which is 90 percent completed involves the construction of a road opening and concreting of 0.90-kilometer, two (2)-lane road, stone masonry, drainage structures, and application of pavement markings.

DPWH Upgrades Major Roads in Guimaras

The on-going road improvement works at the Guimaras Central and Circumferential Roads by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will soon ensure faster and more convenient travel around the towns of San Lorenzo and Nueva Valencia, Guimaras Province.

In San Lorenzo, widening of the 1-kilometer San Miguel-Constancia-Cabano-Igcawayan Road along Guimaras Central Road from two (2) to four (4) lanes progresses at 40 percent.

DPWH Readies Quick Response Assets Amid Mayon Volcano Unrest

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is ready with preparedness measures and response action plan in case there would be an escalation in the alert level status of Mount Mayon in Albay.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Bureau of Maintenance said that with the increasing unrest of Mayon Volcano in Albay, the DPWH Disaster and Incident Management Teams of Regional and nearby District Engineering Offices have been activated, while Quick Response Assets composed of 340 individuals with 30 equipment were prepositioned for any eventuality.

Completed by the DPWH Pampanga Third District Engineering Office is a 942-lineal-meter road in Barangay Sto. Niño, Magalang inside the Central Luzon Integrated Agricultural Research Center (CLIARC) with width of four (4) to five (5) meters.

2 Major Access Road Projects in Naval, Biliran Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) implements two (2) access road projects as part of multi-year programs in Barangay Villa Consuelo and Barangay Libtong, town of Naval, Province of Biliran, in order to support expanding agribusinesses in rural areas.

Citing a report submitted by DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the last phase of the ₱258.42-million, 8.32-kilometer National Road Junction (NRJ) Villa Consuelo-Libtong Road is now on-going.
