DPWH Builds P71-M River Control Structure in San Antonio, Zambales

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a flood mitigation structure that will prevent the overflow of Dinumagat River to its adjacent plains in Barangay West Birit, San Antonio, Zambales.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and DPWH Undersecretary for Regional Operations in Region 3 Roberto R. Bernardo, DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino said that the District Engineering Office (DEO) carried out project implementation of river structures on both sides of Dinumagat River in the amount of P71.6 million.

DPWH Improves Flow of Itaran, Maynaga Rivers in Polangui, Albay

Two (2) flood control structures were recently completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to protect riverside communities in the town of Polangui, Albay Province.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office V Director Virgilio C. Eduarte and DPWH Albay 3rd District Engineer Cornelio J. Relativo said that Barangays Buyo and Maynaga are the recepient of river structures costing P94.44 million.

DPWH Upgrades Access Road in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed an access road project enhancing transport access in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Implemented by DPWH Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Engineering Office in the amount of P90 million, the project involved the concrete cement paving of a 1.9-kilometer road with provision of pipe culverts, stone masonry, and grouted riprap.

Stretching from Barangay Banker to Barangay Sinian, the paved road in Kabasalan has improved connectivity by providing a safer and more efficient travel for motorists traversing the area.
