Lipa City Park Welcomes Visitors with Upgraded Facilities

The Department of Public Works and Highways recently completed the construction of P72.3 million multi-purpose facilities at Lipa City Community Park, in an effort to revive its status as one (1) of the most beloved community spaces in Lipa City, Batangas.

DPWH Region 4A Director Jovel G. Mendoza reported to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan that the revitalized Lipa City Community Park is now ready to welcome visitors and serve as a hub for recreation and community activities.

Bypass Road Boosts Local Economy in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay

A bypass road project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now benefits rural communities in the municipality of Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.

DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia identified the project as the concrete cement paving of the 2.1-kilometer, two (2)-lane NRJ Guilawa-Palalian-Barangay Poblacion Road which now better connects the residents of Barangay Guilawa to markets, schools, and other essential facilities and services in the municipality.

Newly Paved Road Supports Pineapple Farmers in South Cotabato

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently completed the paving of a vital road utilized daily by farmers, students, and residents in the municipality of Polomolok, South Cotabato province.

Based on a report submitted by DPWH Region 12 Director Basir M. Ibrahim to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the new 3.5-kilometer concrete road in Barangay Maligo used to accumulate excessive dust which become muddy during heavy rains, posing great danger to travelling motorists and pedestrians.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the Sta. Maria River Control Project which now benefits and safeguards the agricultural community of Barangay Nagpanaoan-Subadi Norte, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said that the completed river control structure was designed to protect flood-prone residential areas, wildlife habitats, structures, and riverbanks.

A coastal community in the town of Ballesteros, Cagayan, can now breathe a sigh of relief as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) delivers a vital seawall along the shoreline, fortifying defense of the area against threat of flooding.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office II Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel, said that a project was completed along the coast of Barangay Sta. Cruz, spanning 260 linear meters.
