DPWH Upgrades Access Road in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed an access road project enhancing transport access in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Implemented by DPWH Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Engineering Office in the amount of P90 million, the project involved the concrete cement paving of a 1.9-kilometer road with provision of pipe culverts, stone masonry, and grouted riprap.

Stretching from Barangay Banker to Barangay Sinian, the paved road in Kabasalan has improved connectivity by providing a safer and more efficient travel for motorists traversing the area.

Access Road Eases Travel in General Santos City

Students, farmers, and other daily road users are now benefiting from an all-weather road constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Barangay Tinagacan, General Santos City.

DPWH Region 12 Director Basir M. Ibrahim, in his report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, said that the paved road gives two (2) local communities better access to schools and several agricultural and poultry farms, which serve as one of the main sources of livelihood in Purok Kabuling and Purok Lower Labay.

According to DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon, the project is now 66 percent completed and is being implemented by DPWH Leyte 2nd District Engineering Office to alleviate potential flood risks and secure the riverside community.

Smoother road surface and safer travel are now experienced by motorists with the completion of rehabilitation works by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on damaged section of Sayre Highway in Cagayan De Oro City.

DPWH Region 10 Director Zenaida T. Tan, in her report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, said that restoring the damaged road pavement was deemed necessary due to numerous cracks and holes caused by heavy-loaded trucks, making it inaccessible to motorists.
