Widened Libingan ng Mga Bayani Road

The DPWH First Metro Manila District Engineering Office undertakes the widening of Libingan ng mga Bayani Road in Taguig City, probably the only and the last remaining national road in Metro Manila which was recently rehabilitated from its original two (2) lane asphalt road into a four (4) lane PCCP road. When completed, this 1.12 kilometer long road rehabilitation project will boast of its four (4) lane 300 mm. thick PCCP roadway, with brick finished reinforced concrete island divider and state of the art LED Street Lighting System.

Mobile Flood Fighting Equipment

To support the flood fighting activity of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), eight (8) new mobile drainage pumps were handed-over to the Government of the Philippines by the Government of Japan under the Grant Aid Program for the Project for the Improvement of Equipment for Disaster Risk Management in the Philippines. Mounted on each truck are Japan manufactured mobile drainage pump capable of draining water ten (10) times more than ordinary fire engine, built-in standby generator set, hose and other accessories.

Makati-Pateros River Works

The Bank Improvement/Slope Protection along Makati-Pateros River, District II, Makati City, was undertaken to protect the existing dike and facilitate easy access in the cleaning of the river.

With a contract amount of ₱15,894,124.40, the project was implemented by DPWH Metro Manila II District Engineering Office (MMIDEO).

440-km Farm-to-Market Roads Completed - DPWH

The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the construction of 440.14 kilometers of Farm-to-Market Roads (FMRs) costing P2.36 billion.

Under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project Phase 3 (ARISP-III), DPWH implemented the construction of 126 FMR projects that aim to benefit hundreds of agricultural communities from across the country.

DPWH's Apalit-Arayat Dike Rehab Completed

ARAYAT, PAMPANGA— Thousands of Kapampangan residents will rest unstirred in the coming rainy season after the completion of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) rehabilitation project of the breached dike of the Apalit-Arayat along Brgy Cupang here.

This P124-million rehabilitation project included slope protection set back levee with steel sheet piles.

The flood control project was funded by DPWH and the civil works were given to L.R. Tiqui Construction.

DPWH Road Works in Full Blast After Mayor Stoppage

DPWH had resumed two of its construction projects in Cabanatuan after settling issues with the City Government here.

The implementation of the construction of the P11.2-million Cabanatuan City-Papaya Road (CCPR) and the P35.5-million rehabilitation of the damaged portion of the Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road (NEAR) were set to full blast after it had been stopped by Mayor Julius Cesar Vergara early this June.

Mayor Vergara alleged DPWH’s lack of coordination with the local authorities causing inconvenience to the public.
