Paved Local Roads Enhance Transportation Access in the Rural Areas of Palawan

The Department of Public Works and Highways has upgraded unpaved roads into concrete cement pavements, greatly enhancing mobility and connectivity, which in turn has boosted economic productivity in Narra and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

In Barangay Antipuluan, Narra the DPWH Palawan 2nd District Engineering Office has completed a 285-linear meter road concreting project, which involves the construction of a portland concrete cement pavement, installed with drainage and miscellaneous structures designed to withstand severe weather conditions.

Seawall Project to Benefit Coastal Barangay in Dinagat Islands

A flood-control structure is being built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to serve as the first line of defense against harsh and eroding waves for the residents of Barangay Tag-abaca, in the town of Basilisa, Dinagat Islands.

DPWH Regional Office 13 Director Pol M. delos Santos, in a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, said that the concrete slope protection structure with total length of 180.56 meters is implemented by the DPWH Dinagat Islands District Engineering Office (DEO).

DPWH Set to Complete New 4-Storey School Bldg in Navotas Polytechnic College

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now implementing the final phase of civil works to complete a school building project in Navotas Polytechnic College in Navotas City.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH National Capital Region Loreta M. Malaluan, said that the 6th phase of the project which is being implemented by the DPWH Malabon-Navotas District Engineering Office (DEO) is targeted for completion by the first quarter of 2025.

DPWH Working on Bicol River Esplanade in Naga City

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently completed a segment of an access road in Naga City that will soon form part of a planned promenade similar to the famous Iloilo River Esplanade.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office 5 Director Virgilio C. Eduarte said that the DPWH Camarines Sur 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) accomplished in March 2024 a portion of the project in Naga City.

Coastal communities are now protected against strong waves and tides with the completion of a concrete seawall by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

Undertaken by DPWH Negros Occidental 1st District Engineering Office, the project involves the construction of an 835.5-lineal meter long, 3-meter high concrete seawall designed to absorb and reflect wave energy which will prevent erosion and stabilize the coastline.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently completed and turned over five (5) infrastructure projects in the towns of Aliaga, Carranglan, San Jose City, and Science City of Muñoz in Nueva Ecija.

DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the DPWH Nueva Ecija District Engineering Office (DEO) completed the projects with combined cost of P34.55 million.

Completed in Aliaga Town is a 2-lane road measuring 555 meters in Barangay Macabucod.

Baguio City’s The Mansion Under Repair, Upgrade

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now halfway complete on its rehabilitation and improvement works at The Mansion House, the official residence of the President and a popular tourist spot in the Summer Capital – Baguio City.

DPWH-Cordillera Administrative Region Director Khadaffy D. Tanggol, in a progress report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the ongoing repair of the Conference Hall, as well as construction of Technical Inspection Center inside the vicinity is currently being implemented in the amount of P99.44 million.
