DPWH Completes Improvement of Access Road to Albay's Misibis Bay

A beach destination in Bacacay, Albay is now more accessible with newly-improved roads that are projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Tourism.

The 8-kilometer Cagraray Circumferential Road and the 12-kilometer Sto. Domingo-Misibis Road, both leading to Cagraray Island where the known Misibis Bay is located, have been rehabilitated, paved, and widened to become safer access roads for tourists.

DPWH Installs Rain Water Collection System in Quirino Province

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has installed 19 rain water collection system for schools in Quirino province, an innovative way to maximize use of rainwater for sanitation purposes.

The rain water collection systems were installed at elementary and secondary schools in the municipalities of Aglipay, Cabarroguis, Diffun, Maddela and Nagtipunan.

According DPWH Quirino District Engineering Office (QDEO) District Engineer Marifel T. Andes, P3.4 million was allocated for the construction of these rain water collection systems.

Bataan Students Benefit From New DPWH Footbridge

A four-lane highway regularly crossed by students in Orion, Bataan is now safer, with the recently completed footbridge project of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH).

The newly-constructed footbridge worth P17 million, located in front of Daang Pare Elementary School, now links two sides of the busy Roman Expressway, securing the safety of the residents especially the young pedestrians crossing the street.

A newly completed flood control project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now benefiting residents of a rural municipality in Nueva Vizcaya.

The DPWH through the Nueva Vizcaya Second District Engineering Office (NVSDEO) has completed the construction of a revetment to support to the Mangayang Bridge located at Brgy. Banganan, Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.

Rawari Section, Quezon, Bukidnon Partially Closed Due to Land Slide

Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office X advise motorists and commuters going to and from Quezon, Bukidnon of the on-going clearing operations at the Rawari Section of Quezon, Bukidnon due to landslide which occurred this morning, October 11, 2016.

The landslide covered 25 meters of the road section, about 5 meters in height and 10.7 meters width.

As of 11 am today, Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office X reported that the affected road is already 1-lane passable.

DPWH Dispatched Team and Equipment to Clear Rockslide in Batanes

The Department of Public Works and Highways has mobilized maintenance team and equipment to clear rockslide at Basco-Mahatao-Ivana-Uyugan-Imnajbu Road in Ivana, Batanes.

In a report from DPWH Regional Office 2, an estimated volume of 750 cubic meters of rockslide has closed to vehicular traffic a road section at KM 8+750 of Basco-Mahatao-Ivana-Uyugan-Imnajbu Road.

Motorists are advised to use the interior Mahatao-Imnajbu Road as an alternate route.

The continuous heavy rains affecting the Province of Batanes triggered the rockslide.
