Capiz Cultural and Sports Center Soon to Rise

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the construction of a multipurpose building that will serve as the Cultural and Sports Center of the province of Capiz.

The new building project is intended to accommodate more sporting events and cultural activities for locals and tourists visiting the province, and serve as another venue to nurture Capizeño’s talents.

DPWH Capiz 1st District Engineering Office oversees the on-going construction of the building inside the Villareal Stadium in Roxas City.

DPWH Targets Yearend Completion of Pantabangan-Canili Bypass Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is targeting to fully complete the Pantabangan-Canili Bypass Road presently on the sixth and final phase of construction that will connect the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Aurora in Central Luzon.

The project is a multi-year effort of the DPWH Regional Office 3 (DPWH-RO3) to construct a bypass road with three (3) planned bridges traversing the towns of Pantabangan in Nueva Ecija, Alfonso Castañeda in Nueva Vizcaya, and Canili in Aurora.

Weekend Road Reblocking Resumes in Metro Manila

The Department of Public Works and Highways will conduct its weekly schedule of road repairs along EDSA, C-5, and other road portions in Quezon City starting at 11 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022.

The road rehabilitation works will cover EDSA Northbound along Santolan MRT Station, bus lane; after P. Tuazon flyover to Aurora Tunnel, 3rd lane from center island (fast lane); after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from center island (intermittent section); and after Kamuning Road and Kamias Road to JAC Liner Bus Station, beside center island in Quezon City.

Flood Control Structure to Protect Agricultural Land in Dingras, Ilocos Norte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has constructed a new revetment structure intended to protect residents and their farm lands from river overflow in the Municipality of Dingras, Ilocos Norte.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manual M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said that a total of P9.4-million was allocated under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA) for the construction of the new structure in Barangay Lumbad.

Multi-Purpose Buildings to Spur Development in Iloilo City Districts

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing new multi-purpose buildings (MPB) to provide additional facilities in various districts of Iloilo City.

On-going in the district of Lapuz is the construction of the Iloilo City Sports Complex (Jalandoni Sports Center) in Jalandoni Memorial National High School which will provide a standard, comfortable, conducive training environment that would help Iloilo develop competitive athletes.
