DPWH Accelerates Davao City Bypass Construction Project, Aims for 2028 Completion

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is excited to announce significant progress for its Davao City Bypass Construction Project.

According to DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, the Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) - Roads Management Cluster I (Bilateral) headed by Project Director Benjamin A. Bautista is aiming for faster completion and improved infrastructure by accelerating the road construction activities to capitalize on favorable weather conditions in the Davao Region.

DPWH Ensures Road Safety along Tarlac Ecotourism Park Access Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently installed road safety devices along the 5.18-kilometer portion of Tarlac Ecotourism Park Access Road in San Jose, Tarlac Province.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil R. Farala said that the installation of LED street lights, warning and informative signages, and solar pavement markers are engineering safety measures to create safer roads for motorists.

DPWH Completes Flood Control in Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte

Low-lying communities in Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte are now safe from the flood related hazards brought by Anongan River with a newly built embankment structure delivered by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Based on the report of DPWH Region IX Director Cayamombao D. Dia, the project involved the construction of a 330-meter long, 4.90-meter high reinforced concrete flood control structure with drainage, designed to prevent river overflow.

A 60-lineal meter concrete bridge across Biclat River was completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Aurora District Engineering Office in San Luis, Aurora.

Constructed along A.C. Buencamino Street, the completion of Biclat Bridge is now aiding the residents and farmers of the once isolated communities of San Luis, specifically Barangays Dibalo and Dibut.

DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said that Biclat Bridge serves as a crucial link in facilitating the transportation of materials and agricultural goods to nearby markets.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a flood control structure along the Aringay River Basin encompassing Barangays Ambalite, Duplas, Tavora East, and Tavora Proper in Pugo, La Union.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manual Bonoan and Undersecretary Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., DPWH Region I Director Ronnel Tan said that the 796-meter-long, 4-meter high flood control structure consists of two (2) sections: Section 1 which covers 396 meters in length, while Section 2 spans 400 meters.
