DPWH Enhances Road Safety in Siquijor Island

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the installation of road safety devices along winding road section of Siquijor Province, facilitating secured access for motorists.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Siquijor District Engineer Yusoph D. Rasuman said that the road safety improvement project which covers the installation of double rolling barriers on dangerous road curves of Luyang-Poo-Lazi Road, will help reduce or prevent the severity of accidents in the mountainous area.

Indigenous Community in Sariaya, Quezon Gains New Access Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a road project to benefit an indigenous community in Barangay Pili, Sariaya, Quezon Province.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Region 4A Director Jovel G. Mendoza, said that the road project, funded through the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA), was initiated as part of the Convergence and Special Support Program under the Basic Infrastructure Program (BIP).

DPWH Begins Construction of Parang East Diversion Road Core Facilities in Maguindanao

DPWH assured that the asphalt layer that serves to enhance the bridge’s long-term durability is being rectified to high standards and that the box girders and main structural components of the bridge remain unaffected.

The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed critical flood control structures along the upstream and downstream sections of the Apurawan River, Barangay Apurawan, Aborlan, Palawan, providing enhanced protection and improved living conditions for the local community.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Regional Office IV-B Director Gerald A. Pacanan said that the projects involve the construction of revetment walls upstream and downstream of the river measuring 100.87 meters and 102.41 meters, respectively.
