Widened Road Improves Mobility in Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has undertaken widening works along a one (1)-kilometer portion of Liloy-Siocon Road in the municipality of Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte.

DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia said that the completed project now better connects Barangay Poblacion to Barangay Isidro, benefitting about 3,257 residents who rely on this route to reach neighboring communities.

DPWH Highlights Key Progress in Bucana Bridge Construction in Davao City

The construction of the 1.34-kilometer Davao River (Bucana) Bridge by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is progressing steadily, with civil works now more than halfway completed, less than a year after the project began in November 2023.

In his inspection report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain said that civil works are showing substantial developments with accomplishment status now reaching 53.76% and anticipated to open to traffic before the end of 2025.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to complete a flood control structure that will protect Barangay Buli, La Paz, Abra.

Costing P137.52-Million, the 544 lined Bagatoy Flood Control Project implemented by DPWH Abra District Engineering Office (DEO) is now 84 percent completed.

Based on the report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan by DPWH CAR Director Khadaffy D. Tanggol, the ongoing revetment flood control with sheet piles will reduce the impact of flooding during the rainy seasons.
