DPWH All Set for April 5 Inauguration of Manila's Iconic Bridge

It is all systems go for the ceremonial inauguration of the Binondo - Intramuros Bridge Project, a much anticipated new bridge over Pasig River with attractive arch design that will become a new iconic landscape in Manila.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary and Build Build Build Chief Implementer Emil K. Sadain confirmed during Sunday night inspection, April 3, 2022, that the beautifully designed bridge is ready for the upcoming inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

DPWH Completes 2 Bridge Widening Projects in Biliran

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has substantially completed the widening of Busali and Moog Bridges in Barangay Busali, Biliran, Biliran with the use of an allocated budget amounting P20.5-million and P30.6-million, respectively.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado and Senior Undersecretary Rafael C. Yabut, DPWH Region 8 Director Allan S. Borromeo said that the additional two (2) lanes will lessen congestion and accommodate the increasing traffic volume now that travel restrictions are lifted.

DPWH Continues Weekend Road Reblocking

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has resumed on April 1, 2022 at 11PM road rehabilitation works along EDSA, C-5 and portions of Quezon City.

DPWH NCR Regional Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas said that the road repair works will cover northbound directions of EDSA Quezon City, corner Panay Avenue to Mother Ignacia, 1st lane from sidewalk; along EDSA near Quirino Highway Exit; before and after Gate 3, 3rd lane from MRT lane; Main Avenue to P. Tuazon Flyover, 2nd lane from sidewalk; and after P. Tuazon to Aurora Boulevard, 2nd lane from sidewalk.

New Flood Wall Seen to Protect Residents in Ilocos Norte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the construction of a concrete dike that would protect a flood-prone barangay in the town of Vintar, Ilocos Norte.

Based on a report from DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan, DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that the ongoing construction of the 507.2-meter revetment structure in Barangay Tamdagan is expected to mitigate flood risk for residents and properties along Bislak River.
