DPWH Desilts Nueva Ecija's Dupinga River, Deploys Additional Equipment to Hasten Operations

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is continuously working to increase the carrying capacity of Dupinga River in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija by conducting desilting activities along the river’s Dupinga-Calabasa section.

DPWH’s Bureau of Equipment (BOE) is in close coordination with the DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) in implementing the dredging project.

Albay–Sorsogon Connector Road Nearing Completion

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the ongoing construction of the Bacon – Manito Road also known as the Albay-Sorsogon Connector Road, a new 15.87-kilometer road that will link the provinces of Albay and Sorsogon in Bicol.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 5 Director Virgilio C. Eduarte said that the connector road is one of the priority projects in Bicol Region as it would directly link Legazpi City – Punta de Jesus Road in Albay and Junction Sorsogon – Bacon – Manito Road in Sorsogon.

PH-China Launches Samal Island-Davao City Connector Project

It is all systems go for the design and build of Samal Island-Davao City Connector Project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

A launching ceremony of the bridge project to be funded by Official Development Assistance (ODA) from People's Republic of China (PRC) was held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Main Office in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed and inaugurated the Office of the President - Presidential Management Staff Sub-Central Office Southern Luzon Building located at the DPWH Regional Equipment Services Region V Compound, Legazpi City.

“The new three-storey PMS building shall pave way for the government to reach the Filipino people at the grassroots level,” said Regional Director Virgilio C. Eduarte.

The new 1.358-kilometer road in Barangay Manasa provides an alternate route to “Seven Cities” which is composed of seven organic vegetable-producing barangays in the municipality of Alimodian.

DPWH Completes 2 Flood Control Projects Along Peñaranda River in Nueva Ecija

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently completed the construction of two (2) flood control structures along the Peñaranda River to protect nearby communities in the towns of General Tinio and San Leonardo in Nueva Ecija.

DPWH identified Barangay Rio Chico in General Tinio and Barangay San Roque in San Leonardo as the recipient communities of the newly-built structures with a total length of 237.6 lineal meters.
