Indigenous Peoples building, 55 other multi-purpose buildings completed in Iloilo

Various communities in Iloilo now benefit from the 56 multi-purpose building (MPB) projects that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Iloilo 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) delivered to completion in 2019.

According to DPWH Iloilo 3rd DEO District Engineer Flordelis C. Enriquez, among the highlights of completed projects last year is the P2.95-million Indigenous Peoples Livelihood and Training Center in Sitio Nagpana, Lipata, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

Drainage improvement completed to address Sampaloc floods

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has installed a new booster pump at Estero de Calubcob in Sampaloc aimed to minimize flooding occurence in Manila.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH NCR Ador G. Canlas said that the flood management project has been completed ahead of its set completion in May 2020 to mitigate flooding along various barangays in the city.

More students will now be accommodated in Pambujan National High School (PNHS) in Northern Samar with the newly-completed learning facilities implemented under the convergence program of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Education (DepEd).

DPWH Region 8 Director Neri Bueno reported to Secretary Mark A. VIllar said the recent completion and turn over of two (2) building projects: a two (2)-storey, two (2) classroom Science Laboratory Building and a two (2)-storey, two (2) classroom Regular workshop with a total cost of P11-million.

Barangay Pinagtigasan in Calaguas Island, Vinzons, Camarines Norte is the recent recipient of a road concreting project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Camarines Norte OIC-District Engineer Edwin A. Bermal said that a 485-meter gravel road is now a 2-lane paved road through a recently completed P14.7-million local road improvement project.

Bacjawan Bridge Widening Project in Concepcion, Iloilo nears completion

A more convenient and faster travel will soon be experienced in Concepcion, Iloilo as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) continuously work to complete the widening of Bacjawan Bridge.

In her report to Secretary Mark. A Villar, DPWH Iloilo 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) District Engineer Flordelis C. Enriquez said the P17.40-million project is at 98.6 percent completion rate as of January 2020.
