DPWH Receives NEA “Golden Dagitab” Award

DPWH builds more evacuation centers in Zamboanga

After completing three (3) new evacuation centers, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now fast tracking the completion of four (4) additional centers in Zamboanga Peninsula to accommodate more residents in times of calamities and disasters.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar commended DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia for turning over three (3) newly-completed centers amounting to P102-million in the Municipality of Labason and Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte; and in the Municipality of Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Batanes quake damage to infra reasched P292-M

Damage cost to infrastructure of the recent earthquakes in the archipelagic province of Batanes has already reached P292.85 million.

As of latest damage assessment of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) which was conducted from July 29 to 30, 2019, the estimated P292 million covers the damage of 978 residential, public building, roads, and slope protection structures in Barangays Sta. Lucia, San Rafael, Sta. Rosa, Sta. Maria, and Raele of Itbayat town.

DPWH adds 4 lanes along Nueva Ecija’s Cesar Angeles–Emilio Vergara Bypass Road

The 12.35-kilometer Cesar Angeles – Emilio Vergara Bypass Road connecting Sta. Rosa and Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija will soon be further widened to six (6) lanes.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, District Engineer Ricardo M. Puno of DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office (DEO) reported that the widening from two (2) lanes to six (6) lanes of Cesar Angeles – Emilio Vergara Bypass Road is now under Phase 2 and a total of 4.16 kilometers of the road will be completed.
