A national Route Numbering System (RNS) is now in place along the Philippines’ national road network system in Western Visayas Region.
Instead of the usual different names of the long road section, the assigned route numbers in Region 6 will provide road users an easy familiarization with road sections and assist in planning travel itinerary.
The route numbering system is usually composed of 4-digit alpha-numeric sign (one letter and 3 numbers), 2-digit alpha-numeric sign (one letter and one number) or a 3-digit alpha-numeric sign (one letter and two numbers).

Usec. Dimas S. Soguilon, Undersecretary for Regional Operations in Luzon, together with DE George DC. Santos of Nueva Ecija 1st DEO and Caretaker DE Ricardo M. Puno, Nueva Ecija 2nd DEO inspected the roads and bridge projects in the province to see their actual maintenance status on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

The transfer of office from Quezon City to Calamba City, Laguna will allow DPWH Region 4A to promptly attend to the infrastructure needs of their coverage areas and at the same time help decongest traffic in Metro Manila.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will embark on a P375 million asphalt overlay project for major thoroughfares of Southern Leyte.
DPWH Southern Leyte District Engineer Ma. Margarita C. Junia said the road improvement project through asphalt overlay will cover four (4) areas with damaged pavements, particularly those that have started peeling off or scaling and forming potholes, posing danger to motorists.
