DPWH Strictly Enforces 3-Strike Policy for Contractors

“Contractors doing business with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) must maintain a good track record to be able to continue participating in our public biddings.”

This was stressed by DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson as he directs through Department Order (DO) No. 17, Series of 2015, the strict enforcement of the 3-strike policy against erring contractors, suppliers and consultants involved in procurement of infrastructure works, goods and consultative services of the Department.

Second Batch of DPWH Cadet Engineers

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, together with First Pacific Leadership Academy Executive Director Rey Agustin K. Evalle, Undersecretaries Raul C. Asis, Maria Catalina E. Cabral, Rafael C. Yabut, and Romeo S. Momo, Assistant Secretaries Ardeliza R. Medenilla, Dimas S. Soguilon, Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., and Gilberto S. Reyes, and the 42 members of the second batch of DPWH Cadet Engineering Program. Thirty-five (35) male civil engineers and seven (7) female civil engineers form part of the new set of cadet engineers this year.

DPWH Considers One-Way Traffic at Kennon Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways considers implementing one-way traffic flow at Kennon Road, a scenic highway from Rosario, La Union to mountain city of Baguio this Holy Week.

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson instructed DPWH Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR) Director Edilberto Carrabacan to conduct traffic study that will only allow light vehicles to use Kennon Road in going up to Baguio City this coming summer season particularly during the Holy Week.
