Inauguration of Lullutan Bridge in Isabela

President Benigno S. Aquino III and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio L. Singson lead the inaugural drive-through of P700-million Lullutan Bridge in Ilagan, Isabela. Spanning the Cagayan River, the 500.6-meter bridge is one of the longest bridges built for Region 2, connecting Barangays Camalagui and Lullutan in the municipality of Ilagan. Prior to its completion, farmers had to travel via barges to transport their agricultural products to markets.

DPWH Chief Warns Bidders - Disclose Only the Facts

Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio L. Singson issued a policy directive calling the attention of contractors who are prospective bidders for DPWH infrastructure contracts to disclose all their ongoing and completed projects with the government and private entities.

“I noticed that some contractors or bidders do not disclose complete information of their ongoing projects. In some instances, their submitted documents for eligibility do not have information on ongoing contracts particularly those with the private entities,” Secretary Singson said.

Four Sections of EDSA Due for Repair This Holy Week

Taking advantage of the Lenten break, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume road repairs of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) effective 12 midnight of April 2, Thursday until 12 noon of April 5, Sunday.

DPWH was given the go signal by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), to work on four (4) sections of EDSA in Makati ang Mandaluyong City.

DPWH Lenten Assistance in Place

To provide public service to motorists and commuters, the Department of Public Works and Highways with its network of 16 Regional Offices and 180 District Engineering Offices nationwide set up from March 30, 2015 to April 6, 2015 “Lakbay Alalay” motorists assistance for the Lenten week.

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson said that prompt and reliable assistance on normal and emergency situation will be provided by DPWH personnel on a round-the-clock shift.
