Access Road to Ecozone in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently working on the construction of a road aimed at providing a reliable access to the special economic zone in the Municipality of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.

The DPWH is implementing a 39.81 kilometers access road leading to the Nasipit Agusan del Norte Industrial Estate – Special Economic Zone (NANIE-SEZ) under the Roads Leveraging Linkages of Trade and Industry (ROLL-IT) Program in convergence with the Department of Trade and Industries (DTI).

Hanging Bridge Improves Access for Remote Community in Cagayan De Oro

Local farmers and members of Lumad Higaonon Tribe now benefit from the hanging steel bridge completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Sitio Sinuhot, Barangay Balubal, Cagayan De Oro City.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, based on a report submitted by DPWH – Region 10 Director Zenaida T. Tan said that the ₱4.89-million hanging bridge project was completed in hopes to alleviate logistical problems, such as costly and risky travel experienced daily by farmers and residents of the remote barangay.

P20-M Seawall Protects Flood-Prone Communities in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental

A flood control structure built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now ensures the safety of seaside communities in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental from strong waves and overflow.

According to DPWH Region 6 Director Sanny Boy O. Oropel, the project covers the construction of a 100-meter seawall with a 210-meter concrete wave deflector for protection against high tides and strong waves during heavy rainfall.
