DPWH Resumes Pipe Installation at Bonifacio Drive this Weekend

The four (4) southbound lanes of Bonifacio Drive will once again be closed to traffic, as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) resumes 24/7 works for a flood control project aimed to minimize flooding around the vicinity of Manila City Hall.

According to DPWH-NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro, the segment from sidewalk of Bonifacio Drive corner P. Burgos Street will be closed effective Saturday, May 27, 2017 for the installation of 2-rows, 27-lineal meter long, 60 inches diameter reinforced concrete pipe culvert.

Replacement of Damaged Isabela Bridge Finally Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing a new bridge to replace a typhoon-ravaged bridge in Isabela that has long been closed to traffic.

DPWH Region 2 Director Melanio C. Briosos said that works have started for the construction of 450-meter Pigalo Bridge located along Alicia-Angadanan-San Guillermo Road crossing Cagayan River in Barangay Pigalo, Angadanan, Isabela that was damaged by typhoons Pedring and Quiel in 2011.

DPWH Breaks Ground on Pangasinan-Zambales East-West Road

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started the construction of the 60-kilometer Pangasinan-Zambales East-West Road Project that is seen to yield economic and ecotourism advancement both in Ilocos and Central Luzon Region.

“A new road which will connect the provinces of Pangasinan and Zambales starting from the municipality of Mangatarem in Pangasinan side to Sta. Cruz in Zambales is now being built,” announced DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan.

DPWH to Complete P114-M Bypass Road Project in Iloilo this Year

A new by-pass road would soon be serviceable to lessen the traffic congestion within the highly urbanized roads of Iloilo City, providing more convenient trip for local residents and tourists.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 6 is presently undertaking the construction of four (4) lanes Nabitasan – San Rafael Bypass Road in the amount of P114.461-million to shorten the travel time from Iloilo City downtown area to Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. Avenue by ten (10) to fifteen (15) minutes.
