DPWH field units with (16 Regional and 184 District Engineering Offices) installed 336 Sanitation Tents and 76 Gantry Facilities nationwide to provide disinfection and sanitation services of vehicles traversing national highways.
Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum Halls and World Trade Center (WTC) in Pasay and Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila will soon be converted into a much-needed facility for the treatment and health monitoring of COVID-19 patients.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Monday, March 30, 2020 delivered additional 10,000 surgical masks to major public hospitals handling COVID-19 patients in Metro Manila.

Other frontline agencies with insufficient equipment and manpower are assisted in transporting much needed supplies to ensure that their operations remain free from logistics problems amid the trying times the nation is facing.
Racing to fill the huge demand as infection numbers surged, DPWH distributed much-needed face masks as personal protective equipment of frontliners who are risking their lives in serving the people. Face masks are also provided to skeletal work force of the Department who are frontliners too, as the agency continue to serve the needs of our people. The supplies were donated to the Department by generous individuals.
DPWH management puts top priority on the health and safety of its thousands of employees and stakeholders by adopting home-based telecommuting work arrangement for majority of its personnel. However, shifting skeletal operation is in place to ensure the continuous and efficient delivery of mission-critical services. DPWH also assures that salaries and wages shall be paid to its employees during the enhanced community quarantine period.
DPWH extend humble support with available transportation services to help our frontliners perform their duties, day-in, day-out. Healthcare Workers and other service frontliners are taken good care of while the lockdowns are imposed in their respective destinations due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Built evacuation centers accross the country are ready for use as health facilities. A proposal for additional health facilities and isolation sites in Metro Manila is already in place by converting available spaces of public buildings and wide open areas where prototype tents can be installed.
Field units with 16 Regional and 184 District Engineering Offices comes together in unity to provide disinfection and sanitation services of vehicles traversing national highways, public establishments and places. Disinfectant spraying in the installed sanitation tents and gantry facilities are efforts to help prevent further spread of covid-19 in the country.
