DPWH Implements One-Way North Bound Traffic Scheme at San Fernando By-Pass Road

The San Fernando-San Juan By-Pass Road in the Province of La Union is placed under one-way traffic scheme due to the on-going road rehabilitation works.

The Department of Public Works and Highways - La Union First District Engineering Office reported that the San Fernando-San Juan By-Pass Road is passable only to northbound motorists going to other northern towns of La Union and the provinces of Ilocos Sur, Abra, Ilocos Norte and even to Cagayan.

Turn-Over of DPWH Leadership

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson has formally transferred the leadership of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to Acting Secretary Rafael C. Yabut. DPWH Ilocos Sur 2Nd District Engineering Office Now ISO 9001:2008 Certified

Employees of Department of public Works and Highways Ilocos Sur 2nd District Engineering Office in Candon City celebrates the awarding of the ISO 9001:2008 Certification of their Quality Management System by affixing their signature as pledge to their commitment to continually deliver effective and efficient service to the public.

The pledge ceremony was led by District Engineer Jose G. Ginete Jr., OIC Asst. District Engineer Renato G. Gagno and Administrative Officer Ms. Ricarda C. Pande.

Yabut Assumes DPWH Leadership

Leadership of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has been formally transferred by Secretary Rogelio L. Singson to Acting Secretary Rafael C. Yabut.

In a simple turn-over ceremony held July 1, 2016, outgoing Secretary Singson formally handed over to Senior Undersecretary Rafael C. Yabut the official flag of the Department symbolizing reins of authority.

2nd LED to Prioritize Road Linkage of Interior Villages to Main Highways

The Second Leyte Engineering District of the Department of Public Works and Highways says it is targeting to link barangay roads to the national highways in 2017, now that the office has completely widened and improved national roads under it.

Engr. Carlos Veloso, the 2nd LED District Engineer said, that this target is expected to be commenced in 2017 as among its priority.

DPWH-NCR July 31 - August 30 Road Repair Schedule

The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will undertake reblocking and road repair effective 10 PM of July 31, Friday to 5 AM of August 3, Monday on the following roads in the cities of Quezon and Pasig:

  • Along Commonwealth Avenue from Commonwealth Market Extn. Overpass to Bicol-Leyte Overpass (2nd lane from median island, South bound)
