Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced that access roads were paved for the upcoming new hospital facility project at the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) in Mandaluyong City.
Secretary Villar said the new healthcare facility project will contribute to the fight against Covid-19.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), with the approval of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), will resume its repair activities along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C-5 Road).
According to DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric A. Ayapana, reblocking activities will cover the northbound directions of EDSA near corner Kaingin Road in Quezon City; and from -K0010+(-942)-K0010+666 in Caloocan City.

Secretary Villar, together with his sister and Las Piñas Rep. Camille A. Villar, checked the project which is being implemented inside the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGH-STC) in Bernabe Compound, Diego Cera Ave, Pulanglupa I.
Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar reassured on Friday, June 18, 2021 that remaining civil works are being fast-tracked to open the new and modernized Estrella-Pantaelon Bridge by next month.
“We are here on-site to show you that all substructure and superstructure of the Estrella-Pantaelon Bridge have been constructed and we are confident that we will be able to finish remaining works on approach road and ancillary/miscellaneous works by July 2021,” said Secretary Villar.

Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Health Facilities will further boost the LCP healthcare system’s capacity with the expected completion of three (3) modular hospital cluster units with a total of 66 isolation patient rooms by end of June 2021.
