Flood Control Project in Conner, Apayao Boosts Marcos Administration’s Resilient Infrastructure Agenda

In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas vision for resilient and sustainable infrastructure, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the Barren River Flood Control project in Barangay Malama, Conner, Apayao, securing homes, farmlands, and vital infrastructure from recurring flood damage.

In his report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH CAR Director Khadaffy D. Tanggol said that the project included the construction of concrete revetments, gabion spur dikes, and sheet piles as part of a comprehensive flood control strategy.
