In support of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s “Build Better More” infrastructure program, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking a farm-to-market road (FMR) project in Barangay Payac, Bangui, Ilocos Norte, aimed at enhancing market access for local farmers.

In his report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan, said that the 3.10-kilometer FMR project involves the construction of drainage systems, slope protection works, and the installation of 15 solar-powered LED streetlights to improve road safety during nighttime.

Answering the call of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for public servants to become stewards of good governance, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) through the Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) has formalized a strategic partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Development Academy of the Philippines(DAP) to implement the Leadership Excellence for Advanced Development (LEAD) Program.
