President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Thursday, March 17, 2022 led the inauguration of the 6.405-kilometer Tacloban City Bypass Road Project completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Province of Leyte.

The President was joined in the project inauguration by Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino, House Majority Floor Leader and Leyte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, and Tacloban City Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is preparing for the next month opening of iconic Binondo - Intramuros Bridge Project.

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado is proud to announce the soon opening of Binondo - Intramuros Bridge with years of hard work by DPWH Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations team headed by Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain brought this monumental project nearing the finish line.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Roger G. Mercado led the inauguration of Boracay Circumferential Road’s third phase, which saw the opening of another newly concreted and widened 1.4-kilometer portion of road.

According to Secretary Mercado, through the P140-million project along the portion of the Boracay Circumferential Road, locals and tourists now find better connection between the island’s two (2) entry/exit points of Cagban Port and Tambisaan Port in Barangay Manoc-Manoc.

Various tourist destinations and recreational sites in the province of Guimaras have become more accessible to locals and foreigners since the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) completed the road widening along portion of Guimaras Central Road in the town of San Lorenzo.

Secretary Roger G. Mercado commended the DPWH Guimaras District Engineer Office (DEO) for successfully completing the ₱42.27 million improvement of road with a length of 1 kilometer.
