DPWH completes high-rise classrooms in Dagami, Leyte

The Department of Public Works and Highways Leyte second district engineering office has recently completed the construction of a high-rise six-classroom school building at Patoc National High School (NHS) in this town.

According to Gerald Pacanan, the governemnt allocated a total of P12.9 million for this project, built in strict compliance to the standards and specifications of the Department of Education and DPWH.

Construction of P46-M high-rise school building in Liloan, So. Leyte underway

The construction of multi-million high-rise school building in Liloan National Technical Vocational High School is now up and running in a bid to address shortage of classrooms in Liloan, Southern Leyte, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) field office here reported.

The 3-storey school building currently being constructed will have 15 classrooms equip with comfort rooms, emergency exits, and fire protection facilities. It has an allocation of P46 million funded under last year’s Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) of the Department of Education.

6 new school buildings to welcome Southern Leyte studes

At least six new school buildings will greet learners in Southern Leyte during the opening of new academic year on Monday built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“We constructed unique workshop and high-rise school buildings. Each building are resilient to strong typhoons, earthquake, and other natural calamities to ensure safety of students and community,” said DPWH Southern Leyte construction chief Letecia Olarte.

Finished five (5) months sooner than its target accomplishment, DPWH National Capital Region (NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that the Quezon City II District Engineering Office intently hastened construction works to cater to the volume of motorists traversing the avenue.

Home to the popular Sohotan National Park and Balantak Falls, the bypass road is expected to increase tourism in the town of Basey by reducing travel time from almost three (3) and a half hours to one (1) and a half hour.

Located in the government center, the completion of the building is said to bring government services closer to the people and make coordination with fellow government agencies more efficient.
