DPWH upgrades Cagayan and Cordillera inter-regional linkage

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced the completion of the road concreting project that will serve as an inter-regional link between Cagayan in Region 2 and Apayao in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

Started in February 2018 with a total allocation of P62.263 million funded under 2018 General Appropriations Act, the DPWH-Cagayan Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-CSDEO) completed on March 2019 the concreting works of the 1.8-kilometer Ayaga-Sta.Marcela-Flora-Lasam Road in the municipality of Lasam, Cagayan.

NLEX Balagtas Northbound Entry

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar led on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 the opening and ceremonial drive thru of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Balagtas Northbound Entry from Plaridel Bypass Road that connects NLEX to the second and third district areas of the Province of Bulacan. The opening of 600-meter NLEX Northbound Entry will facilitate ease of travel by avoiding the very tight traffic in Bocaue and Sta Rita toll gate just to go north direction along the NLEX. Others present in the event are NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L.

GENDER RESPONSIVE AGENCY

Department of Public Works and Highways receives the GADtimpala 2018 citation from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) during the 10th Year Anniversary Celebration of the Magna Carta for Women at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) held on August 15, 2019. The award received by DPWH Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral cited the agency for its efforts in pursuing gender equality and women empowerment within the organization and among its clientele.
