DPWH Highlights 1-Year Infra Accomplishments Under PBBM Admin

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was able to carry-out massive infrastructure development nationwide under the” Build Better More” Program in the first full year of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan discussed the administration’s infrastructure accomplishments at the Post-State of the Nation (SONA) Discussions held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Hilton Hotel, Newport Boulevard, Pasay City.

Marcos Jr. continue to deliver services that will improve the quality of life with the completion by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) a total of 69.08- kilometer of road network including 11 bridges in Zamboanga Peninsula under the Improving Growth Corridors in Mindanao Road Sector Project (IGCMRSP).

DPWH Builds Slope Protection Structures in Southern Negros Occidental

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has delivered two (2) slope protection projects in the towns of Binalbagan and La Castellana, Negros Occidental.

Based on the report of DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie D. Bueno, a 251.8-lineal meter river bank protection was completed at the upstream of Guintubhan River along Binalbagan-Isabela Road.

“The P96.5-million project provides defense against overflow brought on by strong and turbulent mountain water, ensuring the protection of lives, properties, and livelihood in the area,” said Director Bueno.

PBBM Opens 11.6-Kilometer Samar Pacific Coastal Road

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday, July 14, 2023 led the inauguration of the much-awaited Samar Pacific Coastal Road Project that is expected to improve travel and stimulate the local economy in Northern Samar.

“With the opening of this road and its bridges, the development of Northern Samar’s rich agricultural lands and bountiful fishing grounds will follow suit,” President Marcos said in his speech during the inauguration of the project in Palapag, Northern Samar.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday, July 14, 2023 led the inauguration of the much-awaited Samar Pacific Coastal Road Project that is expected to improve travel and stimulate the local economy in Northern Samar.
