DPWH Promotes Active Transport in ‘New Normal’ by Constructing Dedicated Road Bike Lane

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has installed reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings, road signages, and bike lane separators along key roads in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao to ease accessibility for cyclists.

“We are glad to turn-over this correctional facility that can accommodate up to 5,000 inmates, helping them have better living conditions especially during pandemic wherein social distancing is of utmost importance,” said Secretary Villar.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), in the last five (5) years under the leadership of Secretary Mark A. Villar, has implemented almost a threefold more projects than any administration in the last five decades.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his last State of the Nation Address on Monday, July 26, 2021, lauded the DPWH for its accomplishment from 2016 to 2020.
