DPWH Paves Tourism, Farm Road in Negros Occidental

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has delivered the completion of a concrete access road and farm-to-mill road in the upland town of Moises Padilla and the city of Himamaylan, Negros Occidental.

DPWH Negros Occidental 2nd District Engineering Office has finished the concrete paving of a 920-lineal meter, 2-lane access road in Barangay San Benito, Moises Padilla.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently completed a farm-to-market road (FMR) that now aids farmers in Baranggay Kabalantian, Arakan, North Cotabato.

Based on the report of DPWH Regional Office 12 Director Basir M. Ibrahim to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the completed 2.7-kilometer, 4-lane road is now beneficial to locals, especially the farmers of rubber, coconut, banana, corn, and other vegetables in the area.

A busy modular steel flyover at the intersection of Lazatin Avenue and Jose Abad Santos Avenue (formerly Gapan-San Fernando-Olongapo Road) in San Fernando City, Pampanga has reopened to traffic once again after it was closed for total rehabilitation for over two (2) months.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 conducted final safety checking of the reconstructed Lazatin Steel Flyover before allowing light vehicle traffic movement.

Residents of Sitio Cuarenta are now reaping the benefits of a completed road widening project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Barangay Dayap, Municipality of Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro.

Citing a report from DPWH Region 4-B Director Gerald A. Pacanan, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the project covers the construction of additional 3.5-meter wide pavement and 2.5-meter wide shoulders on both sides, along the 1.5-kilometer portion of Mindoro West Coastal Road.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has constructed two (2) flood control structures along sections of Pampanga River ensuring the protection of communities in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija against threat of inundation during heavy rains.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, identified Barangays Magpapalayok and Tambo Adorable as the two (2) communities to benefit with the protective structures built by the DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office (DEO).

Upgraded Marimla Bridge Eases Traffic Congestion in Lubao, Pampanga

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation and widening of Marimla Bridge to facilitate unhampered flow of traffic along Lubao Diversion Road in the Province of Pampanga.

DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Regional Operations in Central Luzon Roberto R. Bernardo, said that the widening of the 30-lineal-meter bridge will provide improved mobility at Lubao Diversion Road which is an alternative to the busy Jose Abad Santos Avenue.
