Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 12 and its pilot District Engineering Office (DEO) – South Cotabato II DEO was awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification by the Anglo Japanese American (AJA) Registrars for their Quality Management System (QMS).
The granting of ISO certification to DPWH Regional Office 12 was part of the department's efforts to make the remaining all the DPWH Regional Offices ISO 9001:2008 certified.
During the celebration of the 118th DPWH anniversary, Secretary Rogelio L. Singson emphasized the improvement of public service delivery through the relevance of ISO certification and stressed that it must be sustained in order to ensure good governance.
In line with this, the Regional Office-Internal Quality Audit (RO-IQA) team will continuously monitor the implementation of international standards in the workplace through management reviews and IQA audit.
DPWH RO-12 Director Reynaldo S. Tamayo expressed gratitude to the officials and employees of both the regional office and South Cotabato II DEO for getting through the challenges of the assessments.
