The Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office 02 has completed the improvement of the Cabagan–Sta. Maria road in Sta. Maria, Isabela.

The P75.3-million project includes the pavement of 23-centimeters thick road shoulders and 1.5-meters wide added to the entire road stretch that ranges to 2553.6 meters.

Reblocking works were also conducted along the road with its carriage fully concreted to provide more convenient travel among the motorists.

Other than the Cabagan-Sta. Maria Road, DWPH-RO2 has also conducted improvement and widening of national roads, such as the Manila North Road in Claveria, Bangag-Magapit Road in Allacapan, and Santiago-Tuguegarao Road in Enrile, for the province of Cagayan; Daang Maharlika in Echague for the province of Isabela; and from Sta. Fe to Aritao in the province of Nueva Vizcaya.
