The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new multi-purpose building in Jordan, Guimaras to serve as the main provincial office for the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Completed by DPWH Guimaras District Engineering Office in Barangay San Miguel, the project involves the construction of a 276-square meter, 1-storey building complete with necessary facilities and amenities.
DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie D. Bueno, citing a report from DPWH Guimaras District Engineer Rhodora B. Nuñal, mentioned that the new building comprises seven (7) rooms designated for Lecture and Examination, Records, Chief’s Office, Regional Director Field Office, Inspector’s Office, employees’ working area, and customer waiting area.
“With a bigger and more improved office building, officials and employees of Guimaras LTO can better cater to the increasing number of stakeholders and clients from the five (5) towns in the province of Guimaras,” said Director Bueno.
The multi-purpose building project costing P9.7 million was funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
