Students of two (2) elementary schools in the town of Dingalan in Aurora Province will soon benefit from new school facilities built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office 3 (DPWH-RO3) Director Roseller A. Tolentino identified the recipient schools as the Dingalan Central School and Tanawan Elementary School.

According to DPWH-RO3 Director Tolentino, a new building with two (2) storeys, composed of six (6) classroom was constructed in Dingalan Central School in the amount of P15.9 million.

In Tanawan Elementary School, the construction of a P3.76-million building was finished on time, giving students access to two (2) extra classrooms for the upcoming school year.

DPWH Secretary Bonoan said that the completion of the additional classrooms came in time for the resumption of the face-to-face classes after years of mostly online and hybrid learning set-ups nationwide.

By maintaining physical distance and preventing overcrowding, these new learning facilities will help school administrators and instructors ensure a safe learning environment for children returning to schools, added DPWH Secretary Bonoan.

Implemented by the DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO), both projects are funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA) in convergence with the Department of Education (DepEd).
