The construction of a new Sub-Central Office (SCO) building by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to house the Office of the President-Presidential Management Staff (OP-PMS) Integrated Operations and Service Continuity System (IOSCS) in Western Visayas is now nearing completion.

DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie D. Bueno said that the Department is fast-tracking the construction of the building which will serve as a venue for discussion of important programs, projects, and policies of the Office of the President.

Built inside the Regional Equipment Service (RES) compound of DPWH Regional Office 6, the P90-million three-storey structure is expected to be fully completed and ready for occupancy by the end of third quarter this year.

Through this new office building, OP-PMS will be more responsive and resilient to implement programs and other assignments directed by the President amidst the new normal, and pave way for community partnership and stakeholder support.

A soft inauguration of the project was held recently, attended by key officials of DPWH and OP-PMS.

“Rest assured that DPWH will remain a steadfast partner of OP-PMS and continue to work hand-in-hand in delivering quality services for the people,” said Director Bueno.
