The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is inviting participants for another Market Sounding Webinar of Kennon Road Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, Improvement, Operations and Maintenance Project slated on Friday, April 8, 2022.
DPWH Undersecretary for Public-Private Partnership Service Maria Catalina E. Cabral representing DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado, together with Public-Private Partnership Center Deputy Executive Director Eleazar E. Ricote, and Mr. Matt Gil of consulting firm RebelGroup International will grace the virtual event which aims to gather feedbacks from relevant stakeholders as the Department undertakes the PPP project study for the Kennon Road Project.
As the project study is being finalized, DPWH is conducting another round of market sounding webinar to solicit insights and feedback on the project terms from interested private sector investors.
The Project Team already conducted market sounding interviews in 2021 wherein developers, operators, and banks provided inputs and suggestions to make the project viable and attractive to the private sector.
“Nearing the finalization of study, the team now intends to gather feedback and validation on the project’s proposed components and structure,” said Undersecretary Cabral.
The Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, Improvement, Operations, and Maintenance of the Kennon Road Project involves the privatization for major rehabilitation and operation of the 33-km zigzag road going to the Summer Capital in Benguet Province – the Kennon Road. It intends to provide convenient, safe, and all-weather access to Baguio City.
The market sounding webinar will be held starting at 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM via online platform Zoom. Interested participants may register through link: tinyurl.com/kennonparticipants. The event will be livestreamed through the Official DPWH Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/dpwhph.
