
Secretary Mark Villar’s Bigay Trabaho Program has provided a thousand jobs in a period of one (1) month to help improve Filipino’s life in this pandemic time.
Secretary Villar announced that the Department of Public Works and Highways’ online job fair which was able to hire as much as 1,090 workers nationwide from its launch in August 9, 2021 up to this date will still be up and running through its different platforms via Landline no. As we build out of this crisis, our Build, Build, Build Program will continue to create employment opportunities with Bigay Trabaho that are still open for jobseekers, said Secretary Villar.
“Jobseekers may still contact our different channels for available job positions that are vital to the success of our BBB Program. This is also our way of helping contractors so that they have enough manpower to implement and complete massive projects on time,” added Secretary Villar.
Secretary Villar said that among the jobs in various construction firms that are available nclude welders, laborers, civil engineers, materials engineers and technicians, equipment operators, foremen, carpenters among others.
Of the 1,090 newly-hired under DPWH Bigay Trabaho Program of Secretary Villar, 10 jobs were employed under the DPWH National Capital Region; 8 jobs under the DPWH Cordillera Administrative Region; 137 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 1; 133 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 2; 29 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 3; 63 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 4-A; 52 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 4-B; and 25 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 5.
A total of 174 workers were hired by DPWH Regional Office 6; 78 under DPWH Regional Office 7; and 50 under DPWH Regional Office 8.
DPWH also filled-in 17 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 9; 18 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 10; 99 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 11; and 91 jobs under DPWH Regional Office 13 while 85 workers were employed by the DPWH Unified Project Management Office and 21 under DPWH Public-Private Partnership Service.
