DPWH 9 24/7 Service for the Lenten Season

In observance of the Holy Week and in anticipation of the influx of motorists as well as domestic and foreign tourists this Lenten Season, Regional Director Jorge U. Sebastian, Jr. directed the reactivation of all District Offices Motorists Assistance Centers to start today March 30 to April 6, 2015.

The 14 District Motorists Assistance Centers will be installed in conspicuous places throughout the Region. These will be manned by Engineers, Mechanics, Dump Truck Drivers, Service Operators and other personnel who will give roadside emergency repair assistance to motorists during the holiday.

A skeletal workforce from the Maintenance Division (062)9933015 and representatives from different divisions will manned the DPWH Regional Office in Tetuan and Personnel from Zamboanga City District Engineering Office in Divisoria (062)98524-51 to 52 are assigned to receive reports from field offices and to render emergency services.

In Zamboanga City, two (2) District Motorist Assistance Centers (DMAC) will be installed, one at the Maria Clara Lobregat National Highway (East Coast) and at Zamboanga City-Labuan Limpapa Road (West Coast).

RD Sebastian directed all District Engineering Offices to monitor the strict implementation of the Motorist Assistance Program.

The Lakbay Alalay is in coordination with Land Transportation Office, Philippine National Police and Local Government Units.
